Early Kindergarten

Our physical education program teaches habits and skills such as good sportsmanship, commitment, physical fitness, and teamwork.  PE in the primary grades develops basic motor skills such as balancing, throwing and catching while developing a sense of self-accomplishment for each child.

Increasingly intensive foreign language instruction shapes the students as true citizens of the world.  Spanish forms part of the curriculum starting in Pre-kindergarten.

Early Kindergarteners learn how to interact with computers by learning fundamental technical skills.  They learn how to express themselves creatively using digital art and storytelling on the iPad.

Art is a vehicle for critical thinking, discussion, inquiry, and problem solving. From preschool through 3rd grade, children study and create a wide variety of works and genres to delve into art’s deeper meanings and master the process of making their own original creations.

Students are introduced to science through thematic units that incorporate several subjects under a specific theme, allowing them to make meaningful connections and begin building problem-solving skills. 

Bayer has a very active Parent/Teacher group that organizes many school activities such as Astronomy night, Fall Festival, and numerous individual classroom events.  Our students have supported the greater community in ways such as writing letters to the veterans, literacy book drives, and caroling at the neighborhood nursing home.  The spirit of giving and gratitude is an important part of our school culture.

During their recess times, students at Bayer Private School can visit the Snack Den. This student-run snack bar utilizes a pre-paid punch card system where students can purchase snacks for their day. There are also a variety of organic snacks available.
